Posted by Relax In Nashville Quality Massage &Wellness Studio on October 24, 2015 at 9:45 AM

Relax In Nashville Massage & Yoga Studio is now hiring Licensed Massage Therapists for my busy Massage & Yoga studio located less than 5 minutes from the Nashville International Airport. I also have a room for rent at a very reasonable price for an Alternative Healer (Cosmetologist/Health Coach/Personal Trainer/Acupuncturist etc.) that would complement my Massage & Yoga Studio. Having 2 locations in Nashville TN and Chicago IL, I am hiring for the Nashville TN Location only at this time.

My studio is blessed to be so busy that I am turning clients away daily. I would like to add reliable, ethical Independent Contractors to my Upscale 4 room Massage & Yoga Studio. I am currently open Monday-Saturday by Appointment Only. I would like to be available for walk in’s in the near future.

The LMT's competitive splits are DOE with minimum pay being $25.00 an hour plus tips. The splits are negotiable if you currently have a client base and bring it to the business. Additional income opportunities are available by extending sessions, repeat clientele and selling current doTerra, Trivaren and It Works Body Wraps product lines.

I would love to share this opportunity to select individuals that have a passion for their work. My business philosophy is simple in that a happy team makes for happy repeat clientele. So if you are not currently doing the work that you are passionate about, having fun and reaping the rewards of financial freedom, contact me at 615-999-6354 for an immediate interview. Thank You!!

How often should I get a massage?

Posted by Relax In Nashville Quality Massage &Wellness Studio on August 18, 2012 at 7:40 AM

Massage is a type of bodywork which involves manipulation of the tissue and muscles to release tension and strain. Many people enjoy massage because it is relaxing and pleasant, but it also has health benefits. Receiving massage at least once a month will result in cumulative health benefits for clients, but an even greater frequency will be much more effective. Ultimately, the decision of how often you receive massage is based on input from your body, your massage therapist, and, in some cases, a doctor.

Receiving massage on a regular basis will help to promote a healthy circulatory system, along with good posture. Massage also releases tension and pain in the muscles, allowing them to move more freely. People who receive massage frequently tend to be more flexible and comfortable in their bodies, since they are maintaining a higher level of general health. Receiving massage can also be good for specific conditions, such as stress, and it may even be recommended by a doctor or a physical therapist.

The benefits of receiving massage vary, depending on the modality being used. Some types of massage are good for a general “feel good” experience, such as Swedish and Lomi Lomi. Others like lymphatic drainage, myofascial release, and deep tissue are targeted to specific issues in the body. Asian modalities such as Thai massage and Shiatsu are also very beneficial.

Licensed or not Licensed?

Posted by Relax In Nashville Quality Massage &Wellness Studio on August 7, 2012 at 4:55 AM

There are so many people today that advertise massage but have never gone to school or even had a professional massage. The internet ads espcially, can be very deceiving. If you are looking for a real massage, then you need to always make sure that the person giving the massage is Licensed by the State of TN. Therefore, if you schedule a 90 minute massage, then you get exactly that. So many people advertising incorrectly and just get you in there without the professionalism of doing what their ad says. They probably just want to get you in and out as quickly as possible because they were not taught how to even give a massage let alone proper business ethics.

One common misconception is the advertisment of "Full Body Massage". Fully body means that you are getting at least an hour and that your full body will be massaged. It's not a code word for a "Sensual" massage so I am always amused when people ask about Full Body. Most LMT's are going to give you a full body Therapeutic massage whereas a person without training may give you a full body Sensual massage. The sensual massage is illegal and to ask for something like that over the phone is laughable. Please be respectful to the people that have actually taken the time to go to school and get licensed, pays for the license every year, the liability insurance, a business license and the continuing education that is inevitable. People posing as Massage Therapists are not accredited and can get in lots of trouble. So make sure that you have researched what you want before going to get a massage. You can get anything out there but know where to look for specific services and be respectful to a REAL LMT.

A growing amount of people seek massage therapy everyday, whether its to relieve stress or pain, muscle cramps or treating serious diseases. Massage therapy is no longer a nursing home practice but a modern age answer to an increasingly stressful world.

The Importance of Professional Massage Therapy

In order for massage therapy to deliver the results desired, you need to approach a professional massage studio that not only hires qualified Licensed Therapists but also used adequate massage equipment, such as a massage therapy table. A professional massage therapy table is designed to support your back and body without causing it damage or pain usually a massage therapy table is harder than the usual table but comfortable enough to allow you to relax and enjoy the therapy.

Before you make an appointment for a massage, ensure
you visit a massage business that offers only accredited services to make sure you are taken care of properly, as opposed to putting yourself at risk for damage done to your muscles.
